Our nation’s heroes are frequently portrayed as a pantheon of distinctive and strong individuals who, through their words or deeds, have managed to secure their names in our history books.

The law that established National Heroes Day, however, makes no mention of any particular heroes. And this lack of specifics provides a chance to honor the bravery of all Filipino heroes who have risked their lives or been persecuted in the sake of their country, their homeland, justice, and freedom.

With this occasion, The Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission – Basilan Provincial Office is one with the nation in paying tribute to all heroes, who have served as our inspiration and motivation.
