The UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHRC) conducted a 3-day training workshop for the lawyers and human rights defenders of the Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission (BHRC) to equip them with the knowledge and skills to integrate the UN human rights system into their existing work at a strategic manner, and provide initial opportunity for participants to learn and be aware of the process of lobbying and advocacy activities at the UN with the aim to effect change in the Bangsamoro homeland.
BHRC recognizes the importance of capacitating its personnel for growth and competency development to advance the performance and success of the organization in fulfilling its mandates and functions as the sole Human Rights Institution of the Bangsamoro.
