This commemorative idea of celebrating the Bangsamoro Foundation Day manifests our respect and dedication to our beloved region. It is a traditional celebration for us not to forget what transpired in recent years: how we fought for rights and better lives.
On behalf of the Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission (BHRC), I would like to send my genuine regards on the celebration of the 4th Bangsamoro Foundation Day with the theme of “𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮-𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗴𝘂𝘆𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗮 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗽𝗮 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼.” This day further immortalizes the drive and passion of the Bangsamoro people in cultivating long-lasting peace and development in our beloved homeland.
January 21 will go down in history as the day of championing our roots, triumphs, and ideologies as the Bangsamoro people. It makes us look back on those who valiantly fought for our rights, identity, and self-determination. Let us not forget who forged this path we are humbly taking today.
On our part, the BHRC-BARMM guarantees that the Bangsamoro people’s human rights are protected, promoted, and fulfilled thus ushering in an era of moral governance.
Today, we are enjoying our rights and opportunities because our forefathers braved the tides of injustice and struggles in the past. Hence, it is our duty to honor and pay homage to them. Now, let us move forward and continue to protect our shared dreams and aspirations for the whole Bangsamoro. In shaa Allah.
