Mati City, Davao Oriental, May 23, 2023 β The Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission (BHRC) continued its weeklong activity entitled: “Human Rights Education, Detention Facility Monitoring, and Legal Mission Outside BARMM” in Mati City, Davao Oriental. Approximately one hundred (100) participants benefited from the BHRC’s provision of human rights education and legal assistance.
The participants, hailing from different backgrounds, received comprehensive human rights education and legal guidance.
This activity is conducted in partnership with the Office for Other Bangsamoro Communities (OOBC), further reinforcing the collaborative efforts to promote and safeguard human rights in communities outside BARMM. The BHRC and OOBC’s joint mission aims to empower individuals, promote awareness, and address human rights challenges faced by the Bangsamoro people.
During his message, BHRC Chairperson Atty. Abdul Rashid P. Kalim highlighted the Commission’s dedication to reaching out to Bangsamoro communities beyond the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The BHRC’s unwavering pursuit of inclusivity ensures that no individual or community is left behind in the promotion and protection of human rights.
