The BHRC is continually strengthening its networks and partnerships with different organizations operating in the Bangsamoro Region. Recently, it concluded a meeting with the Save the Children, an International Non-Government Organization (INGO). The meeting was attended by BHRC Chairperson Atty. Abdul Rashid P. Kalim, Head of Promotion Division, Atty. Alladin S. Tamama, Head of Protection Division, Atty. Mumar Ali G. Succor and the Save the Children Project Coordinator, Mr. Sylvester “Rocky” Bayot.

During the meeting, Mr Bayot introduced the project Supporting an Enabling Atmosphere for Children and Youth Network for Peacebuilding Goals (SENANG) to the Commission. The SENANG aims to contribute in maintaining the peace in the Bangsamoro Region by fostering children and youth – led intergenerational dialogue on social cohesion through the promotion of art and culture. He also discussed the possibility of having a collaboration between the Commission and Save the Children – Philippines in which the BHRC Chairperson positively responded.

As the children ombud for the Bangsamoro, the BHRC reiterates its commitment in ensuring that the rights and interests of the Bangsamoro Children

are recognized, valued and protected.
